Classroom Handbook
I have tried to prepare this handbook to answer any and all of the questions you might have concerning policies of our school district or my classroom. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns. My e-mail is [email protected]. The telephone number you can reach me at school is: 847-4010.
Arrival and Dismissal Times:
The first bell rings at 8:00, and the tardy bell rings at 8:10. Our announcements and pledge begin at 8:15. Our dismissal is 3:00 for wakers, car riders, and aftercare. Our students need to be picked up in the circle drive in front of our Intermediate School. 3:05 is when I begin walking bus riders out. If your child's plans change, please contact the office before 2:30 if at all possible. If your child has different plans, like riding home with another student, please, send a note giving your permission.
Absences:
Please try to have your child attend school each day. Your child's attendance is important to their success. When they miss, he or she misses out on valuable learning time. Most of their learning experience is building on their prior knowledge or investigation. They must have the peer interaction for true success. It makes it hard to make work of this nature up. I understand sickness. The school district's policy is fever free for 24 hours. So, if your child is sick we do not want them back to soon.
